Club Policy

Castlebar Mitchels Hurling Club demands and expects exemplary sportsmanship and conduct of all those involved with, and chosen to represent the Club including players, officials, managers and supporters.

It is the objective of the Club to have well prepared, disciplined teams representing the Club at all grades - teams that the club members, parents, family and people of Castlebar can be proud of. This is a difficult time for young people with many undesirable challenges confronting them, the abuse of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are unfortunately common in today's society and prevent young people from realizing their full potential.

The Club acknowledges the prevalence and magnitude of these challenges and endeavors to provide healthy sporting activity for our members, affording them an opportunity to gainfully use their leisure-time, build team spirit, travel and make many new friends. We cannot do this alone. We need the help and active participation of parents/guardians with our players and club officials to achieve our objectives.

The code of conduct is to help all of us.

  • The team Management is responsible for all decisions regarding their team.
  • Players chosen to represent Castlebar Mitchels are expected to give a commitment to the Club and be present at the appointed time for any training, matches or Club activity. Players must inform the manager if they are unable to attend.
